Pelosi Looks The Other Way As Rangel Wrangles His Way Out Of Another Mess

Nancy "drain the swamp" Pelosi has decided to look the other way as ethics committees continue to censure and investigate Rep. Charlie Rangel. Aside from being the Chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, Mr. Rangel also is one of Ms. Pelosi's coterie of Washington confidant's and a critical ally in the effort to ram her destructive agenda through Congress.

Mr. Rangel, a man, apparently, of little or no compunction, illegally sublet tax subsidized apartments in New York City. He has, with a straight face, said also that he "forgot" to report hundreds of thousands of dollars in offshore income.

Ms. Pelosi's real game ought to be clear at this juncture. Her mission is power; her objective is government control of most areas of our lives. How else to explain turning her back on everything she told San Francisco voters she stands for? Ms. Pelosi promised to rid DC of corruption. Mr. Rangel has, as a matter of record, filed false personal financial documents and been censured by the ethics committee. Yet Ms. Pelosi won't address the Rangel problem, even while his corruption is confirmed.

I find myself agreeing with little, if any, of Nancy Pelosi's stated, statist, agenda. But even those who agree with her must feel betrayed at this point.
